This program provides our students with the education, training experience and systems to achieve black belt gradings. The syllabus has been created from the disciplines of traditional Shotokan karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing and a modern bench marked system of developing strength, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility.
Students are taught to perform all movements with attention to detail and correct from. This is fundamental and important for their safety and for the execution of effective technique. Practical self-defence and bully stop strategies are an important focus of this program.
Our students are provided with clearly defined skill and fitness pathways for achieving coloured belt gradings. As students progress through these stages they grow in confidence, develop life skills, build their fitness, become more resilient and improve their ability to persevere when circumstances become tough and conditions are uncomfortable. Setting achievable goals, applying consistent effort and achievement is a powerful process.
Our black belt program has a 40-year history of motivating young people to achieve and succeed. Our dedicated team of martial arts educators constantly innovate and update the syllabus to ensure students are engaged and enjoying classes. Our black belt graduates consistently go on to be leaders in the dojo, at school and in their local communities. They are well equipped with the discipline, perseverance, positive values and work ethic required to succeed in life. Students who achieve their black belts teach themselves that they can do anything they set their minds to.
