Sensei Warren Hickey - Principal instructor and programme director
Warren has been learning and teaching martial arts for more than 40 years. He established the Bathurst karate club in 1979. In 2015 Warren was awarded his 6th Dan black belt in shotokan by world renowned martial artist Hanshi (9th Dan black belt) Patrick McCarthy in.
During the 1970’s and 1980’s Warren won state and national Australian Karate Federation point fighting championships and was selected as a member of the official Australian Karate Federation National team, representing Australia successfully in many international tournaments in Australia and overseas.
Warren attained his Bachelor of teaching from Charles Sturt University in 1982. Since then he has worked continuously as a casual school teacher.
Warren has trained many students who have successfully competed at state, national and international levels of competition. He is a dedicated martial arts educator and aims to help his students to improve their lives, achieve their potential and become the best people they can.
Sensei Taylor Sargent
Taylor is a 4th Dan black belt in Shotokan karate under her father Warren Hickey. She has won multiple state, national and international karate competitions. She has been training in martial arts for over 20 years.
Taylor also has a double degree from Charles Sturt University - Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations) and Bachelor of Business.
Taylor takes a leading role in designing and implementing the karate syllabus. She structures the program in a way that enables students to build a solid base of fitness and skills, overtime mastering techniques and gaining confidence from the things that they have achieved throughout their martial arts journey.
Taylor is focused on helping students to achieve their goals and get what they want out of life.

Sensei Sam Traish
Sam Traish heads the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) program at Precision Martial Arts. Sam is a Black Belt under world renowned BJJ institution Gracie Barra. He was awarded his Black Belt in 2018 by his father Chris Traish and Marcelo Rezende, Founder of Gracie Barra Oceania. Having trained in BJJ for 17 years and learning from some of the best instructors in the world, Sam has a contemporary, innovative and fun approach to BJJ which is enjoyed by both children and adults alike. He has over 10 years teaching experience.
Sam is an active competitor on the Australian BJJ circuit and was the 2017 ISKA BJJ World Champion. He has won at State/National competitions at all belt levels, including in the Brown/Black Belt division of submission only format BJJ.
Sam is also is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Arjuken Karate (Mixed Martial Arts, MMA) and competes in kickboxing and MMA on a regular basis with numerous victories.
Sam embraces the fitness lifestyle by competing regularly in the globally respected Spartan obstacle races and reaching the top 5 of his age category. He was the Team Captain of “Black Belt Buddies” on the national TV show “Australian Spartan”. He has also completed several 50km trail running races.
Sensei Kerry Fragar
Kerry Fragar is the principal female Instructor and assists in leading the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) program at Precision Martial Arts. Kerry has been training in BJJ for 19 years and is a Purple Belt under world renowned institution Gracie Barra via Chris Traish and Gracie Barra Oceania Founder, Marcelo Rezende. She is one of the highest graded BJJ females West of Sydney and her smaller physique is a prime example of how correct BJJ technique can be used to overcome larger and stronger opponents.
Kerry is also a 4th Degree Black Belt in Arjuken Karate (Mixed Martial Arts) and a 4th Degree Black Belt in Arnis (Filipino Weapons).
Kerry has been Australian Women’s Champion in Arnis, Knife and Anyo, with numerous other placings in weapons, kickboxing and BJJ.
Kerry has over 15 years teaching experience and has taught her own Women’s Self Defence courses and seminars.
Kerry is an active competitor in the globally respected Spartan obstacle races, reaching the top 2 of her category. She competed on the national TV show “Australian Spartan” as the sole female competitor on team “Black Belt Buddies”. Kerry has also trained to Advanced 2 vocational level in Classical Ballet, is an avid hiker and equestrian. This diversity in physicality lends itself to a thorough understanding of body awareness, mechanics and flexibility.
